How We Do It – Our Approach

There are four fundamental shifts that need to happen for Transformation to occur; 1) a shift in our awareness, 2) a shift in our context, 3) a shift in what’s possible, and 4) a shift to new action.

 

  1. Transformation begins with awareness. In order to develop awareness, we guide people through a process of discovery and transformative learning. Being aware of self and others involves both emotional intelligence and social intelligence (mind-sight & mindfulness).  This insight is critical when endeavoring to shift unproductive behaviors, biases & attitudes.
  2. Transformation always includes shifting the context (underlying assumptions) from which you operate. This includes conscious and unconscious influences that have shaped you, including culture, society, ethnicity, gender, family, personality, religious influences, your history—both good and bad. Creating a new context from which to operate is a cornerstone in the foundation of transformation.  You shift the way you are being by creating a new context from which to engage reality.
  3. Shifting underlying assumptions (the context we come from) ultimately leads to a shift in what is possible for ourselves and others. It provides you with a new map of reality. Transformation always involves creating & engaging new possibilities.
  4. The last shift that needs to happen in transformation is a shift to new action. When one shifts from hurried or auto-pilot reactions to focused & intentional actions they will create an entirely new set of results.

Lata Chawla

Founder and Senior Managment Consultant

Lata is the founder of Performance Edge, a management consulting firm specializing in global diversity, transformation and inclusion/engagement strategies, based in Farmington, CT. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, organizational change and development.   Lata Chawla is also the co-founder of Transform Institute which provides leadership, transformational and professional development programs that help individuals and organizations accelerate results and create conditions for authentic engagement and high performance.   Prior to starting her own consultancy in 2006, Lata worked for over twelve years at ESPN, Inc., serving various leadership roles in Human Resources such as Staffing, Diversity, Training and Organizational Development. Prior to ESPN, Lata worked as an HR manager at The Hartford Insurance Group.   Lata is an expert and seasoned leader in the area human resources and organizational behavior. She has a Green Belt-Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and received a Human Systems Dynamics Practitioners (HSDP) certification from the HSD Institute. Lata has also participated in management and negotiation programs at Harvard University and graduated from the L.E.A.P. (Leadership Education for Asian Professionals) program at UCLA.

Kris Kile

Co-Founder of Tranform University

Kris is a Certified Master Trainer and Certified Master Coach and has been working with transformational disciplines with individuals and organizations since 1996. He is a life long entrepreneur and has started and sold several businesses over the course of his career. He has been the CEO of two training organizations specializing in generating significant change in culture and results for both individuals and organizations.   Kris has authored several training programs for individuals and organizations designed to generate transformational change and unprecedented results. A primary focus for the past several years has been to research, practice, train and engage individuals and organizations around the disciplines that create personal authenticity, authentic relationships and authentic community.   Kris is the co-founder of Transform Institute which provides leadership, transformational and professional development programs that help individuals and organizations accelerate results and create conditions for authentic engagement and high performance.
